Jeff Turner, PA-C, was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and continued his education by obtaining a degree in Physician Assistant Studies from LSU School of Allied Health in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Jeff has had a distinguished career providing quality and compassionate care throughout Louisiana. He worked extensively with Dr. Bryan Griffith at the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic.
With Dr. Griffith's retirement, Jeff and his family decided to relocate to the mountains, falling in love with the town of Cody. He is excited to develop relationships and continue providing top-notch orthopedic care to the people of Cody and the surrounding Big Horn Basin communities.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys being active and spending time with his wife and three sons. They love all sports and outdoor activities, making the most of their time in the beautiful surroundings of Cody.
For over 20 years, Dr. Behm has been keeping his commitment to practice in rural America and has been working as a solo practitioner in some of the most remote locations in the West. He is excited to now be working with a group of surgeons to serve the Big Horn Basin.
Dr. Behm graduated first in his class from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, and went on to residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. The Campbell Clinic is one of the world’s top residencies and the staff there write “Campbell’s Operative Orthopaedics”— the most read orthopedic textbook in the world—now in its 14th edition. He is one of 12 members of the Campbell Clinic Alumni Executive Board and was honored to be the president of the Campbell Club from 2015 to 2018.
Dr. Behm is board certified in both General Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He has also been serving as an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery for over 10 years.
It was always Dr. Behm’s goal to bring “big city” techniques to small-town America. Ironically, when he was in small locations, he had patients from many of the bigger cities coming to him. For the last 16 years, he has been caring for patients in Hamilton, MT, and the Bitterroot Valley as well as Salmon, ID.
His Wife, Beth, ran the business aspects of the practice. In those locations they had patients from Missoula, Helena, Great Falls, Butte, Bozeman, and Idaho Falls come to him for care. The majority of his practice is
in Arthroscopic Shoulder, Knee, and Ankle procedures but he is also skilled in Total Hip Replacements, Birmingham Hip Resurfacing, and Total Knee replacements.
Prior to going to medical school, Dr. Behm graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and then worked as a chemical engineer with Du Pont in a variety of locations and assignments. He and Beth have three children who are grown and out of the house. Their oldest son is a Major in the Army and a graduate of West Point. He is stationed in Anchorage, AK. Coincidentally, their youngest Son is also in Anchorage working as a computer scientist for an international computer company. Their middle son is in Minneapolis and working
as a biosystems engineer. They have three grandchildren. Dr. Behm is an avid skier and for over 10 years was the ad hoc medical advisor for Lost Trail Ski Patrol. He is now an Alumni Member of the National Ski Patrol. He has often been accused by Beth of working just so he can ski.
